With just 2 days into July, the weather feels to have finally turned the corner and the days are slowly starting to feel like summer, nevertheless we find ourselves already planning for the fall!!!! Our crew has started to focus and prepare for the upcoming fall bear hunt. 20+ bait sites have been established and the “bait goodies” were hauled into camp on Canada Day (July 1). In terms of “bear activity” – bears have been sited around some of our outposts camps – mostly just interested in the grey water pits and any grease/drippings left behind by recent guests. A nice cinnamon bear has been spotted along the 58km gravel road as well as the tangent logging roads. We will post updates and progress reports as the footage roll sin of activity around the camp and bear stands.
